This spell or effect, was created by someone who had a lot of personal power rather than just some magic, otherwise it would need much more powerful magic to twist reality or at least filter people's -perceptions- of the victims having always been women and subservient, or at least finding nothing illogical or confusing about it. So it was made by someone who had a bloody lot of authority that it doesn't matter how he takes and brainwashes.
